Aunt Elmyra: Aeris's adoptive mother who found her beside the dying Ifalna. She, along with Marlene, is later kidnapped by Shinra.
Biggs: a member of AVALANCHE who dies during the destruction of Sector 7.
Bugenhagen: Red XIII's adoptive grandfather who helps the party with his wisdom. Also, he is one of the elders in Cosmo Canyon.
Butch: a materia merchant found in Costa del Sol.
Chekhov: found on the thrid floor of the Pagoda of the Five Mighty Gods, she represents Magic.
Choco Bill: found in the Chocobo Ramch, he's your source of chocobo goods.
Chocobo Sage: a forgetful old hermit living in an isolated valley north of Bone Village, he's your source of chocobo breeding tips. The problem is getting him to remember things. (See the section on the Chocobo Sage for more info.)
Chole: Choco-Bill's sister who'll give you more info about your bred chocobos and record the wisdom of the chocobo Sage.
The Clones: experiments of Hojo who were created from the bodies of those that died in the Nibelheim disaster five years ago, using a combination of technology and Jenova cells to bring them to life. Devoid of emotion, their purpose is to follow Sephiroth and Jenova to the Reunion.
Dio: the gladiator-like curator of the Gold Saucer who, at one point of the game, will imprison you. Yet he'll show his apologies by giving you a Buggy and, later on, the Keystone.
Don Corneo: the sleezy, horny, and utterly obnioxious nymphomaniac you'll encounter in Wall Market. You'll encounter him again in Wutai, where he'll kidnap Yuffie and Elena. There, he'll finally be dispatched by Reno and Rude.
Dyne: another man with a "gun-arm," Dyne is Barret's old comrade who went over the edge (and will do so literally later on) after North Corel was destroyed by Shinra. He soon becomes the irritable "boss" of Corel Prison.
Elder Bughe: an elder at Cosmo Canyon.
Ester: the chocobo racing manager who'll register you for chocobo races.
Godo: Yuffie's father who fell in a sort of slump after Wutai lost in war with the Shinra. He's found at the top of the Pagoda of the Five Mighty Gods, where he represents Omni.
Gorky: he's found on the first floor of the Pagoda of the Five Mighty Gods, where he represents Power.
Hart: Mayor Domino's deputy who'll give you clues to his bosses' riddle if you cough up some moolah.
Holzoff: the mountain climber who lives at the base of Gaea's Cliff, giving warning to all those that wish to climb the treacherous mountain face.
Ifalna: Aeris' mother and Dr. Gast's lover who died bringing her daughter to safety.
Jenova: the "crisis from the sky" who crashed into the Planet eons ago, creating great damage and the Northern Cave. A so-called "Ancient," Jenova's body was excavated by the Shinra and her cells injected in Sephiroth and the Clones.
Jesse: a member of Avalanche who's a wiz at technology. She has a crush on Cloud but sadly dies during the destruction of Sector 7.
Joe: a master jockey of chocobo racing.
Lucrecia: Vincent's lost love and the one who bore Sephiroth.
MarleneL Barret's four-year-old daughter who was kidnapped by Shinra.
Mayor Domino: a Shinra executive who's only mayor in name (after all, the Shinra control everything). If you solve his riddle, he'll give you Keycards 63, 64, and 65.
Mr. Coates: the person who runs things at Corel Prison.
Mr. Hangman: the Ghost Inn's favorite celebrity!
Mukki: found at the Honey Bee Inn and later on at Costa del Sol. Not a very important character.
Seto: Red XIII's father who fearlessly gave his life to protect Cosmo Canyon from the tribe of Gi.
Shake: the "punk" found on the second floor of the Pagoda of the Five Mighty Gods, he represents Speed.
Shera: Cid's trusty assistant who forced him to abort his space mission years ago, and he has never forgiven her for that. But it turns out that she, in fact, saved his life by doing so.
Staniv: found on the fourth floor of the Pagoda of the Five Mighty Gods, he represents War.
Wedge: the chubby member of AVALANCHE who's killed off during the destruction of Sector 7.
Yamski: Holzoff's partner who fell to his doom on their ill-fated mountain-climbing expedition twenty years ago.
Zack: the first-class SOLDIER who was actually the one who accompanied Sephiroth in Nibelheim five years ago. He was killed by Sephiroth and his identity "stolen" by Cloud.
Zangan: Tifa's martial arts teacher who saved her from the disaster at Nibelheim.
