Gaea's Cliff
After resting and saving your game in Holzoff's cabin, head north for Gaea's Cliff, a treacherous wall in which many climbers have died climbing. There, you will frequently have to keep a body temperature between 27 - 38 degrees Celsius (warm up by rapidly pressing [SWITCH]). Fall below 27 and you'll bite the dust!
Climb the footpaths marked by the pennants. From the first ledge, climb up four successive ledges to the first cave. Head north and through the passageway. Climb the stairs to the west and head east to a rock barrier. Head back west then south. Circle south and go eat, north, and then west. Keep winding west through the arches until you come upon a large boulder. Knock it over and it will destroy the barrier that was in your way. Head back down there and head out to and outdoor ledge.
Keep climbing up to the right, left, and finally fight to get to the next cave. Save the game at the nearby Save Point, then head northeast out the exit to outdoors. (Don't worry about keeping your body temperature warm anymore.) Follow the path and make a U-turn to the west entrance. Head east and destroy the icicles one by one in the battles (fire-, earth-, and gravity- based spells work well on the icicles). Now that the potholes are filled up with the icicles, head back down there and head to the now-accessible passage to the north.
Once outside, head north and make a U-turn south and head south again to the ledges. Climb up to the right, then left, and finally right to get to the last cave. Upon entering, you'll find a Save Point next to a pool. Drink the waters from the pool to completely restore your HP/MP, then save your game. Head east then south down a long corridor. Inspect the black-clad man's body, then Schizo, a two-headed dragon, appears. Use normal physical attacks on the left head and magic on the right.
After Schizo has been defeated, continue south and scale the last cliff face just east of the exit. This time, there's no need to watch your body heat, fortunately.
